"I make sure to work on things that are aligned with my goals and make me happy" with Emmy Hernandez

Emmy Hernandez went from being an international speaker, author, and coach in the Silicon Valley Tech space to transforming the lives of women who yearned for a fulfilling romantic life.  Emmy created a holistic blueprint for attracting a soulmate all based on the principles that led her to the love of her life.  She is currently planning their wedding for August 2021.

Can you tell our readers about your background?

I graduated from college and did everything that I was “supposed” to do to create a fulfilling career in corporate and I became very successful.   I had many career and entrepreneurship failures, but nothing came close to the heartbreak of yet another failed romantic relationship.

What inspired you to start your business?

I was inspired to start my business after seeing so many of my single girlfriends struggle in the dating scene with men and seeing them go through so much unnecessary pain.  I started helping some girlfriends realize certain patterns with the men they were attracting and many of them suggested that I should help others and charge for services.  At first, I kind of laughed at the suggestion because this wasn’t a “professional field.”  I mean, what would my following on LinkedIn say?!  I quickly realized that what I had to share with the world was too important NOT to share.

Where is your business based?

My business is all virtual, but my HQ is currently based in Omaha, NE, which is where I met the love of my life.

How did you start your business? What were the first steps you took?

The first steps were finding pro-bono clients that were willing to test out some of my theories about online dating and putting some of my tips into practice.   I started sharing my personal story on my Facebook profile and was vulnerable with my hurt, pain, and frustration around dating and my eventual results.  Many women started reaching out to me saying that they wanted the same thing.  They became my first one-to-one clients.

What has been the most effective way of raising awareness for your business?

Facebook posts and Facebook Lives

What have been your biggest challenges and how did you overcome them?

My biggest challenge was overcoming the fear of not being good enough or thinking “who am I to talk about this stuff?”

I know that the coaching space is very overcrowded and I feared not being able to get “above the noise.”   Once I started posting my own unique and vulnerable, raw, and real story, so many women reached out to me to thank me for making them feel seen and heard and not alone.  Once my first set of pro bono clients started completely transforming their love lives and started giving me testimonials, I had a fire and certainty in my heart to continue my journey.

 How do you stay focused?

Making sure I block things out on my calendar and writing out daily goals

How do you differentiate your business from the competition?

All I do is share my true story.  Authentic marketing has been my friend.  I’m not everyone’s cup of tea, but those that love my style, energy and vibe love working with me.  All clients will resonate with different people and it’s my job to let people get to know the “real” me.

What has been your most effective marketing strategy to grow your business?

Facebook friending a lot of amazing women and getting to know them while unfriending a lot of people that are old acquaintances.

What's your best piece of advice for aspiring and new entrepreneurs?

Start a Free Facebook group with your area of interest, invite people to join and post consistently in your group with valuable content that your audience is craving.  You’ll learn so much about their wants and needs if you simply ask your members.

What's your favorite app, blog, and book? Why?

I have 2 favorite books:  1)“The Amazing Development of Men”  and 2) “The Queen’s Code”

They are both written by Alison Armstrong.  These 2 books completely changed how I was interacting with all men in my life and thanks to learning her strategies, I attracted and daily co-create a phenomenal partnership with my man.

What's your favorite business tool or resource? Why?

I love using DocHub because I can type up a contract for a client quickly and have them sign in it instantly without paying any subscription fees.

Who is your business role model? Why?

Tony Robbins because he leads with his heart and because he has created multiple 7 figure businesses.

How do you balance work and life?

I make sure to work on things that are aligned with my goals and make me happy. I always celebrate progress instead of perfection. When I celebrate my progress and milestones, I include my fiance so we can spend quality time together.

What’s your favorite way to decompress?

Dinner date with my love or Netflix and cuddle time on the couch with my honey
