3 Ways To Reduce Anxiety

There is a lot of advice out there to help reduce anxiety, and you will probably have to try much of it to find a system that works well for you. It can take a while to see the effects with most anxiety-reducing tips but focusing on a couple of different areas at a time can speed things up.

What You Eat

Studies have shown that dietary choices such as soda, processed foods, and added sugar can increase anxiety over time. It is best to start small in this area such as replacing one soda drink a day with Sacred Kratom tea, especially if you need the energy boost. This tea has calming and anxiety-reducing benefits without the sugar and caffeine crash you can get from soda or energy drinks.

Where You Are

Cluttered spaces cause a lot of visual stimulation, cause feelings of anxiety, and can have you feeling too overwhelmed to clean them. Whether the stuff in your space needs to be moved to a proper home or to a donation center, starting small can motivate you to get it done. You can start by designating bins for trash, recyclables, and donations and picking up a couple of things for each category as you get up to use the restroom, grab a snack, or stretch.

How You Spend

To most people, tracking your spending and making a budget sounds like it will add more anxiety to the day, but there are mobile apps to help. You can make trimming spending and building savings into a game by switching much of your budget from cards to cash and putting all the coins or five-dollar bills you get into a jar for a year and make a visual reminder of what you are accomplishing.

Reducing anxiety can be a long process in which you try many things, but when you identify some leading areas of stress in your life, it can be much easier. Reducing clutter, spending, and added sugar in your life can have both immediate and long-term benefits for anxiety and your overall health.
