Can you tell our readers about your background?

I am originally from England, living now in Florida. After suffering from multiple illnesses, I decided to take control of my life and decided to attend the Institute for Integrative Nutrition where I earned my certification as a holistic health coach.

What inspired you to start your business?

My own sickness was my catalyst. Having suffered varying illnesses and daily migraines, I love to help people how to change their lives for the better.

Where is your business based?

Florida.

How did you start your business? What were the first steps you took?

I first went to the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, and then took the leap straight away by forming an LLC, and starting on social media, and creating a website.

What has been the most effective way of raising awareness for your business?

I have been a guest on several podcasts, have done some radio shows, and have always been consistent on social media, with blogging, speaking and doing classes. I also teach at the University of South Florida.

What have been your biggest challenges and how did you overcome them?

Staying on the “straight and narrow” with my own healthy habits. I feel my clients are my accountability. I believe you should walk the talk.

How do you stay focused?

I am very self-disciplined in that respect. Once I put my mind to something, it is easy for me to focus.

How do you differentiate your business from the competition?

I do not sell supplements, or push products. I believe that the more holistic and natural the better. I do not believe in “dieting” per se but believe that living a healthy lifestyle can be transformative. I also believe I have a lot of integrity.

What has been your most effective marketing strategy to grow your business?

My website and my social media platforms.

What's your best piece of advice for aspiring and new entrepreneurs?

Do not give up. Stay consistent, and show up.

What's your favorite app, blog, and book? Why?

I used MyFitnessPal a lot in my business with my clients. It is very good at showing them exactly where they are throughout the day with their nutrition.

What's your favorite business tool or resource? Why?

I love Google Docs. I can organize things and stay on top of my documents and resources.

Who is your business role model? Why?

Stacey Boehman. She is vibrant, loves to help people, and offers great advice and is challenging to her followers.

How do you balance work and life?

I make a point of focusing certain hours per day to spend time with family, take care of myself, and get in some R&R.

What’s your favorite way to decompress?

I love to read and I love nature. We live on a lake and so sitting outside with nature, drinking coffee, and enjoying the beauty are two ways I relax and decompress.

What do you have planned for the next six months?

I just started a podcast and I am very excited about it. I am focusing a lot of energy on that for the next six months.
