Thank you so much for your interest in sharing your story with our readers. (Updated December 2023)
What is the interview structure? How long should it be?
Please begin your interview with a short three or four-sentence bio written in the third person. No links here. Submit your interview in a Word or Google doc (not Pages or a PDF) with two images. Images must be at least 1000 pixels X 800 pixels. Must include a photo credit (even if it was taken by you or your friend). We can’t publish interviews without that credit.
Add a title that describes the interview. It can be a quote from the interview or an engaging title that sums up the interview. Links will be added at the end. We have changed our policy to allow links at the end of the interview only. Any links in the bio and body will be removed.
Interview questions should be in the first person and be at least 2,000 words in length to engage and educate our readers.
How do I submit my interview?
Please email it to femfounder@gmail.com but include “Interview + Name” in the subject line so we know it’s ready to go.
What is the deadline?
All interviews are first come, first serve, so there’s no deadline. Please note, don’t publish all interviews—only the ones that will educate and interest our readers.
Do you promote the interviews on social media?
We do our best to promote all interviews on social media and tag you. We have 15K+ followers on Instagram and 300 on Facebook (which isn’t very active).
What is the turnaround time?
We also ask all of you to be considerate of our small editorial team’s time. Most interesting interviews are published within 12 weeks of receipt; however, there are times that run time may be longer depending on how many are in the queue.
How many interviews do you publish a month?
We publish 30 percent of interviews that we receive and strive to publish one a day; however, we may publish a handful a week.
Is there a charge to be featured?
No, we would never charge you to tell your story.
Can your team proofread my submission?
While we do our best to edit for grammar, we can’t edit at length due to the lack of bandwidth our team has. We ask you to take an extra minute to proofread your submission. Submissions with grammatical errors will not be published.
Why did you not publish my interview? How will I know if my interview is selected for publication?
Most likely because the interview lacked substance, didn’t adhere to our style guidelines, or didn’t align with our audience. We will email you with links to your interview if we do publish it.
Do you have other websites where you published interviews?
Yes, we do. We have several websites where we showcase unique founders. If you would like to find out about all media opportunities, sign up here. We email these queries every week but we are looking for luxury brands and founders to showcase in Marquet Magazine.
